If you’re anything like me, you know that good music brings out better lifts.
Music is one of my favorite ways to focus on the task at hand: getting stronger! And if you saw me everyday like my family and friends do, you’d know I always have my headphones. Or that I’m always bumping something good over my car stereo.
With the right tunes, you’ll feel invincible too… at least until a few days after leg day.
To get you in the right mood for the next workout, here’s my top 10 playlist from 2013:
10.) Florida Georgia Line – Cruise (Remix) Feat. Nelly
9.) Hollywood Undead – Undead
8.) Mac Miller – Donald Trump
7.) Krewella – Alive
6.) Drowning Pool – Soldiers
5.) Wale- Ambition Feat. Meek Mill & Rick Ross
4.) Eminem – Till I Collapse
3.) The Script – Hall of Fame
2.) Dubb – Determination
1.) Seether – Out of My Way
…and now I’m a little embarrassed that you know that I’ll rage out to some country then switch over to some fast-spittin’ Eminem.
No matter — because of all the things that make my workouts more enjoyable, music is at the top. I mean, why wouldn’t you want to feel like a baller when you’re about to deadlift 225lbs?
You should take all the extra energy you can get, and listening to some good tunes will give your workout an added lift (pun intended!). So go get yourself an iPod or mp3 player (but don’t pay full price) to start feeling the enthusiasm in your next workout.
As a music junkie myself, I’m open to all kinds of music. What are you currently listening to? Leave a comment below with the Youtube link and I’ll get to listening myself!
