Erin Moran is the inaugural Executive Director of the Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute, an interdisciplinary research and action-based institute at Towson University dedicated to developing ethically driven leaders across sectors. Since its launch in 2021, under Moran's leadership, her vision and energy have transformed the Institute into a powerful engine for leadership development across Maryland and beyond. In just three years, she’s sharpened the Institute’s mission and extended its reach to 2,700 leaders from over 900 organizations, spanning corporate, nonprofit, and public sectors. Under her guidance, 60 custom programs have been delivered to meet the unique needs of partner organizations, while 178 rising stars have taken part in the Institute’s multi-month, cohort-based programs—experiences designed to shape not just better professionals, but better people.

But Erin’s impact goes far beyond metrics. She is a gifted speaker, a sought-after thought leader, and above all, a passionate advocate for empowering women. Her writing has been featured in influential publications, and her keynotes inspire audiences to lead with authenticity, integrity, and purpose. She doesn’t just talk about ethical leadership—she lives it.

With more than two decades dedicated to cultivating inspiring work environments, Moran previously spent nearly a decade with Great Place to Work, contributing to the “Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For” list and advising clients on workplace culture enhancement. She also served as Chief Culture Officer for Union Square Hospitality Group, overseeing employee experience for the company known for creating Shake Shack and its globally recognized culture.

Moran's accolades include being named one of the Top 50 Women Innovators in the Restaurant Industry (2019), a two-time honoree on the National Restaurant Association Power List of Culture Champions (2017 and 2019), and recognition by the Women’s Foodservice Forum as a Top Woman in Metro New York Foodservice & Hospitality (2018).

A Baltimore native, Moran holds a B.S. from St. Joseph’s University and an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
